*Turning Lazy K into Special K!*
« on: August 22, 2015, 01:42:31 PM »
Amazing what a little elbow grease, 0000 steel wool and a 3M pad can do!

Picked this up yesterday in this condition -

http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/**hillbilly-lid-holder-and-the-lazy-k-redhead!**/

Repurposed some parts I had on hand and it cleaned up pretty nice. Paint touch up will be done in the future.

I love the Redheads!

Enjoy!

Nice RRR on that Red. I am partial to those too!
I am curious though, what 3M pad are you using and what are you using it on?

Wife bought a package of assorted souring pads, similar to this pic: http://www.hallamscatering.co.uk/content/images/thumbs/0058976_3m-colour-coded-scourers-red---150x230mm_360.jpg

Never really give them much thought, I use them wet with degreaser/cleaner to cut through the residual crap before using steel wool. Different grades from fine to heavy duty.
