I spotted this on the side of the road last week on the way to work. Only two blocks from Golly, I gave him a call and he came straight down and gave me a hand to load it on the back of my ute.
It's in great condition with minimal use only problem is it looks like someone's dog has gone to town on it. The plastic handles are all chewed and the igniter leads and gas hose is all chewed off. Gave weber a call and there sending out new igniters and Jocool has a donor for the handles. These are really well built and I'm looking forward to getting it fired up
More pics to come
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

That's simply amazing. When was the 600 series made? I'm not familiar with them.

Not sure of the year.  You probably aren't familiar with them because they were never in the US market.   They were sold in Canada and Aussieland.

Edit:  After researching, I could be wrong about not being sold in the US as there are US Manuals for the Flat Top's up at Weber.com

I think they were released in the early 90's. When I enquired about parts the CS responded by saying 'Many think the Flat Top is the Rolls Royce of BBQ's'. It still amazes me they keep parts for a 20 something year old BBQ. Well played Weber!

Best thing about Weber. You can find OEM parts for almost any grill they've ever made. The only trouble I've ever had getting parts was for my 89 Weber Genesis Jr.

Yes there service never ceases to amaze me
This turned up in the post yesterday. One day after ordering and free of charge
6 knobs, 3 igniters and 3igniter buttons
I just need @Jocool to come through with the handles

If it breathes, we can cook it!

And just to add, these things are unreal. I donated a couple to my kids school, and they can't believe how well they cook.

And it's up and running in its new home
I donated it to a good mate who needed a new BBQ, he was a bit sceptical at first being 2nd hand but it didn't take long to convince him that it's a quality machine

That must be  so nice to cook on. Is the flame to grate distance the same as a Genesis?
