First Smoke on the Performer
« on: June 03, 2015, 07:34:00 AM »
Picked up My first charcoal grill a couple weeks ago.  Have grilled on it several times since.  My Genesis E330 (Jade ) is getting jealous.  Decided to smoke some ribs for a first smoke on the performer.

Thanks guys for the kind words!  The best part is these ribs helped to convince my wife to get a WSM.  I picked up the Performer a couple weeks ago off CL and she loved the flavor over my gasser so much that she wants to do pizza around the pool for kids and guest this summer.  I was able to convince her to let me get a kettle to designate for a pizza oven.  As I was searching CL for a kettle I ran across a deal on a WSM 22.5, and the ribs helped to get her to agree to both.  So Saturday I'm headed south to Atlanta area to pick up a OTG and a WSM.  Special thanks to Toolhead for OTG.  Cant believe in three weeks I've gone from one gas Genesis E330 to being a four Weber home, and having 30 bags of charcoal in my building.  Now when my WKC shirt arrives my wife might make me sleep on the deck with my grills.

I think I know where the next ATL meetup is. :)
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Oh, I thought one per week was the mandatory minimum?

One per week? I'll run that by the wife and see how that goes... Don't think she wants me buying another house.. LOL ;D
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!
