Okay, turkey burgers, but with no buns. We do these a lot over the summer, light with lots of flavor, we sometimes eat them on buns too.
Ground turkey mixed with red onion, jalapenos, and cheddar cheese.

The '85 gets the call tonight, coals getting hot, while the sprinkler works on the grass in the back

Flip! The trick is to get a nice crust on the burgers before you flip them, these could have maybe gone a minute or two longer for my likes

Plated
I cut mine up and did lettuce wraps, while the wife wrapped her lettuce like a bun (She later said my idea was better). Served with homemade guacamole on top. When we serve these on buns we usually spread a little sour cream on the bottom bun and the guacamole on top.

Great meal, perfect on a hot day with a couple of beers!
Thanks for stopping by

A little oil from the cheese & moisture from the onion makes the turkey not only stay moist, but sit up & sing....nice fixup !!!!

Looks awesome! The guac put it over the top! You're definitely right, with turkey burgers you've got to get that crust or flipping can be a nightmare. Good work.
Growing family = growing kettles!

I have butchered a ton of turkey burgers. These look great! Will definitely be trying to get a good crust on some this summer.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Thanks Austin, I find the trick for the crust is cook them over a medium/medium high heat. I dump the coals and let them burn for a while, then put them on, about 5 minutes each side.
