Ground beef-cheese casserole thing

This recipe doesn't even have a name. It's a food mutt.

http://www.thecookingphotographer.com/2009/11/green-chile-cheeseburger-french-fry.html

Says to cook for 30 mins @ 400. Well, lookie here at who got lucky with THAT instruction. The machine locked itself onto target and didn't waver.

I used 2 char baskets of KBB, spread out to the sides.

I think it looked a little better in person, but here's a closeup. The light color is due to the jar of cheese sauce (what the heck is cheese sauce?) was quest blanco.

***********
Nice flavor with a little zing from the green chiles and whatever might have been in the cheese sauce. Not spicy hot at all, and had that little bit of charcoal smoke magic that no indoor oven can recreate. Well worth firing up the kettle for!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Hmm...fries on top of a casserole cooked on the grill.
Does it get any better?

Oh yeah that's me, all about that shine, which is why the lid has a layer of grease forming that's about to fall off.

Did the oil thing to the face you mentioned the first time and it worked. Did it for the second cook and it did not, the face became cooked-on greasy and I had to scrub and scrape it off. Didn't bother doing it this time but will the next time I cook food right on the grate.

Or I could just buy new ones every few weeks.  :o
