Chicken in a Basket
« on: April 29, 2015, 09:18:31 AM »

Spatchcocked a chicken and coated with a mixture of olive and buttery popcorn oils , I seasoned with a herb and lemon pepper rub .

I used a chunk of citrus wood and a few Apple chips for smoke

Very interesting. What's the rack used?
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Very interesting. What's the rack used?

It's called a flat spit basket , great for ears of corn and spuds.  I really had to squeeze the chicken in there and the results were similar to bricked chicken or weighted chicken

@Buckie ...extremely juicy chicken thank you :)

Idahawk, chicken looks great! I like that basket for the rotisserie.
I've got the same pattern on my plates too, minus the moose in the middle.
