Found this Shake and Bake Pretzel coating mix and gave it a shot. I mixed it with my old stand by  for KFC which is Dixie Fry.
The coating gave the chicken a nice crunch and great color . I will use it again .

Ham, green bean casserole , Au gratin spuds and baked yams filled with Feta and candied walnuts I roasted on the grill . I used a charcoal ring from my 18.5 WSM as a basket and added a half chimney of lit coals to that . I ran at around 275-350 and got about 5 hours of cook time which was plenty to get the job done.

What a glorious looking cook and plate up! and way to take advantage of all that space - it's a complete feast done on a single kettle! Going to have to try out the pretzel KFC too...

I soaked the chicken in buttermilk and then dredged in Dixie fry mix and then into the shake and bake , then I just mixed the two , lol .
