BBQ @ -10 F and -23 C - Braised BBQ baby backs
« on: February 16, 2015, 06:04:18 AM »
When it is that cold, I am NOT warming the outside, I am using my oven to help heat the house.

I wanted ribs, got a new dutch oven for christmas so here you go.

Brown the ribs

The extras @MrHoss gifted the yummy BBQ sauce.

Yonions to help get all the fond off the base of the DO.

Stout beer added.

Ribs added

Sauce added

In the oven for 2 hours @ 275F

Finished

This method is all about the sauce, ribs were very boring but the sauce was amazing.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Being a Guinness man myself I approve of this cook. And....it wasn't really too cold yesterday L.B......I was out cooking jerk chicken at 5pm yesterday. It was too cold for the dogs feet but for a crazy Kettle cooker? I was raised in an igloo though.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

You are a crazy kettle cooker, I was not stepping foot outside.  I cancel church yesterday so ain't no way I was going outside to cook on a kettle.  :)

-10, I guess it's okay not to use a kettle. Cool way to do ribs though, never thought of that.
