I've seen them, but my searches come up empty. Who's done it and has pics?
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Please pardon me - I may be a bit dense but I don't understand converting an 18.5" kettle to an SJ.  Do you mean reducing the 18's diameter to 14.5 inches - sounds silly to me - Or do you mean adding a "tamale pot" and making a maxi-mini WSM?  I keep meaning to put a stacker on my JJ - that should work 8)
Looking for a RED 26" Kettle & a tabbed no leg RED 22" Kettle near STL. Copper Sam Adams SJ anywhere 8)

Troy

i think he means converting an 18 to a jumbo joe

Here's one I've got. I didn't do the mod, Duke made this one. It had "The Traveler" style legs here.

Here's one I made incorporating the Gummi" mod.

Cool! Thanks for the pics and links. They shook the cobwebs off my brain!

The only mod I had done to an SJP was adding a One-Touch system.
