I did a small turkey breast on the Granite Performer the week before Thanksgiving, just for fun.
But the week of Thanksgiving, we were visiting Princesses...
It was in the upper 80's and beautiful in Disneyland.
We're back home and the much needed rain was coming down hard. I picked up a fresh turkey for $.49 a pound - couldn't resist at that price - and decided to do a small Thanksgiving dinner last night.
With butter and spices under the skin, and breast injected w/ Creole Butter, the new turkey goes on the Granite Performer. Back was removed for a turkey noodle soup later on. Leg/thighs were removed and will be smoked at a later date
Not smoking the turkey, just cooking indirect...
Notice all the homemade ingredients
Fired up the Genesis flattop for the sausage (stuffing), the gravy stock and then cranberries...
Pumpkin Pie on the redhead? You bet!...
And the turkey was perfect!...
Sorry I was late - Thanksgiving on dazzo-time
All the cooks looked great this year!
