That looks to be in amazing condition for its age.  Great team work, fellas!

No need to worry about wood handles on this one, eh?!?!!  I can't wait to see it loaded with turds ... double-decker style.  :D 8) ;)

Unbelievable find.  I find it pretty amazing in this age of technology that people could own such a grill and not do some minimal research to know what they have.  It does inspire hope that there are more treasures to be found (even in GA)!  Exciting to see this, and congrats!

Very nice of you Alvin! Awesome score for sure!  I wonder how hard it would be to replicate the ash pan like that?

the guy was fairly young (maybe 30 or so) & had got it from a friend who was  the son in what he called "a rich family"....so it just hadn't occurred to him to check into it, I believe.....so the whole history is basically under the radar & pretty vague.......

Struck me as someone who maybe used it some, didn't really like messing with it & got a gasser.......you can kinda tell, even without asking, after a few times picking up older ones.....
He also mumbled something nondescript about it being "too big".................

There was a fellow I got to come over from Smoke Ring who said he could probably do it with an English wheel, I think was the right tool.....pneumatic, continuous hammer type thing.....but he got busy w/ stuff & disappeared.....

Winz has had the hooks  hand-made already............. 8)

Yes, I really, really may need to find one or two of those cheapo cooking grates before this happens.....
