Easy Dessert
« on: June 03, 2014, 04:41:15 PM »
After seeing the latest Weber commercial on YouTube my wife decided to make dessert on our new to us 1980s Weber Genesis.

Super easy and not sure why it deserves a write up, but when your wife wants to brag about her Weber swag you do it.  The only thing that could make this any better is if she said, "hey, do you want to go buy a bunch of new bourbons and try them all tonight?"

Did they wrap them in the commercial? I remember seeing the recipe come across my blog reader and don't remember them saying anything about foil. I actually want to try this and I don't like bananas. lol

Those are very good. Big hit with company. I usually use Hershey bar chocolate and have gone to using large marshmallows cut in half. I stuff the chocolate in first and put the cut sticky side of the marshmallows down.  Also just put them indirect right on the grate. This will crisp the top of the marshmallows and give a great crunch to the dessert.

We've experimented with Rollo's chocolates and Reese peanut butter cups cut in half. Both good if you like caramel or peanut butter. Peanut M&Ms not a good offering. ;D

Peanut butter cups will be next! I will try the indirect without foil to toast up the marshmallows.

Moon pies does indeed cut to the chase !!!

Reese's are pretty fun, though...

I made these tonight, direct heat, no foil, closed lid. Served them over ice cream...delicious!

Buckie, what on earth are you making? It has bacon so its got to be good.

Teer, I must have it bad because all I see is that sweet Genesis.  Nice job cleaning that one up!

(and speaking of having it bad, Teer picked that gasser up *on his way to the Mid-Atlantic Meetup* at Marty's.  ;-)   )

I'm going to try the 'nana split tomorrow as a dessert. But instead of the choc chips, I might try some Nutella.

I also got some maple syrup laced PB........I wonder.......  ::)

This thread went from boring banana dessert to out of control combinations of marshmallow, peanut butter, and chocolate! Oh and BACON!!

And I haven't even cleaned that gasser up yet.  That's the new grill lgow I had reflecting back into the photo.
