A local contest is giving away a Kamado Joe and $100.00 in free Beef for the ugliest grill .

Now before anyone blows a gasket , I don't think cados are ugly not in the slightest . I'm a 70s baby , I grew up with shag carpet and burnt orange counter tops so I love my cados more then any other grills  I own , just thought I'd play the odds . So far all I see in the contest is what you'd expect , crappy black gassers tipped over , rust buckets and over all garbage .

I'll give them booger green, something different  and hopefully win :)

what happens if you win??  Do you have to give up the 'cado???
Kettle collector AND cooker!

It would be funny as hell if you won!  We all know there really isn't an ugly 'cado no matter what the condition but to the uninformed, maybe not.
I've been looking at Kamado and it sure would be nice to win one.  Some beef $ never hurt anyone, either.
Good luck!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have to say I love the 'ugly' ones. In fact I'm working on what I think would actually win right now, but I'm keeping it under wraps until it's finished. Although a free kamado and meat is tempting.

Lol, good luck! Post the photo that you use to enter.

Screw the contest, that's one of the koolest kettle pix on this site. I think you'll lose to some random dented and rusted gasser Cletus found on the Innernets after a 4 minute search while taking a break from his pork rinds.

There are elements of old outdoors (the table and backdrop) and the grills are placed in perhaps a non-traditional setting (on top of the table). The side lighting is not only complimentary to the subjects but also suggests mid-late afternoon, where the similarly-seasoned owner might soon amble over to carefully select one for tonight's cook.

Somebody out this picture on the homepage, stat!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

To Dukes point, beauty is in the eye if the beholder. I have come to love the "basket case" kettles. I recently turned a red 18 that I actually turned down before I knew it was meant to be mine into a "Baby 70s Gummi Traveler" kettle. It's got character...
