The change on the yellow looks amazing!
I am only basing that on pictures ... never seen it in person.

Do 'cados change color?

I'd like to see an orange kettle before and after.

 Well......

Standard Blackie "P" Code.....roughed up the surface a bit.....and then a heavy coat or two of hi-heat primer......

18's work OK for a drying stand & I also have another rolling cart that sits up a little higher for the actual spraying........

Three layers of Orange, then heat set as a stepped up low, medium, high heating up of the kettle, carefully....

Then two coats of hi-heat clear, with heat setting.......

Turned out nice, but here's the "actual" after that you seek:

The banking of coals was just too much, I would imagine & so it needs a re-do.......will use baskets in the future..................

I missed pictures of the heat setting & the 1st few cooks, but it turned almost a strange brown color until the paint settled in....................

Thanks for sharing that, 1buckie. Orange is my favorite color and I think I saw a group shot of your kettles recently and immediately went "ooooh" - but Weber never produced any orange ones, did they?

The change is even more pronounced in person, but it was 30 minutes later in the afternoon too which plays with the shades.

I only use this guy for Hot dogs which do not get very hot.
