Lookin' good! I've been wanting to do something like this, too. How did the cook go?

I really like cinnamon rolls and those look perfect

addicted-to-smoke

I just gained 5lbs looking at this.

Dunno anything about baking on the grill. Looks like few coals/low temp? Presumably the top vent stays open to limit smoke getting into food? Maybe even position the lid vent over coals to avoid smoke being drawn over the food? Speaking of which, IS there a taste advantage to open-baking on a grill and if so, why?

Thanks!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Yes, I baked these at around 325-350 degrees.

I have a platinum....the vent is in the middle of the dome ....no need to worry about the position. Top vent wide open , bottom vents mostly closed to control the heat....3/4 chimney of FULLY lit charcoal for the right heat and no smoke. Advantage? Hmmmm....well I don't have an oven in the house so yes.  I think the biggest advantage is that my Weber holds the temperature more steady than any oven does. I'm not sure if open fire makes baked goods taste any better....as far as pies and desserts go because I never cooked anything before I started grilling except for microwaving hotdogs or boiling water to make Ramen noodles.
