Look at the 3:15 mark in the background, next to the 22.5 dark blue SS.. Is this a new color for the WSM's???

That blue 18.5" WSM  belongs to Mike Lang from anotherpintplease.com  He's also a member here! It's sprayed blue directly from the Weber factory but I forget the exact story behind it. I hope he chimes in. :)

Nice isn't it? Reminds me of this only much more rare.

Yeah it is a thing of beauty and would look so nice next to my performer with a nice thin blue smoke coming out of it..

As much of a novelty as it is seeing a blue WSM, I just think a smoker ought to be black? To me, it just looks strange to see a smoker be anything other than black or SS? I almost feel like some natural law in the universe is being violated by having a colored smoker? To me, school buses ought to be yellow, fire trucks ought to be red, and smokers should be black!
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

sounds like your 'ought to be' logic is defined by 'what you've gotten used to seeing'

I would like to see a variety of colors. I still think they should take custom orders on their site and allow logos as well.  I wrote Weber a letter asking why the USA doesn't have the color selection that Europe does for the kettles, and requesting it. They said they would pass it along to the suggestions department (hopefully not the round file!)

I've said it in other threads, but I would GLADLY pay a premium to be able to order a kettle, smoker, or smokey joe directly from Weber with a custom color or logo.  I'm sure there are a ton of folks on the competition circuit who would love to have WSM's with their team's logo across it.
