Rotis lamb with rosemary potatoes.
« on: April 20, 2014, 12:58:32 PM »

Marinated overnight in ginger, mint, garlic, jam, and tare sauce.

Sneaking in a roasted red pepper for garnish.

Getting started.

30 minutes in, brushed with some marinade. Last night, I partially deboned/butterflied the leg,  spread on the marinade, then trussed it back together.

I have never eaten lamb.
Not sure why, but my family just never made it while I was growing up. Now I carry on the tradition and never make it for my kids...
I guess that I need to try it!

My dad cooked lamb pretty regularly, up until that infamous day when my sister said, "Daddy, I like lamb."

"Glad to hear it!," he said, passing her more meat.

"...no, I like *lambs*.  They are cute and I like them."

And that was the last time I remember eating lamb in my youth.
