Tri tip

Itís not common in my area at all. Iíve only cooked it a couple times. A reverse sear Tri tip is like a cross between a brisket and a steak. Itís really good.

Sams club in greenwood. They only had a couple packs. Itís very hit and miss. I might see them one week and not see them again for weeks. Donít buy the pre-seasoned ones there or Meijer. They are horrible. Even if you try scraping and washing the seasoning off.

Looks great...you know as a midwesterner transplanted to the west coast, this is one of the biggest things the midwest is missing out on.  I always suggest a tri tip as a great thing for people new to grilling (who have a thermometer) to practice on.  You really can't mess it up with a reverse sear.  Tri tips have the added bonus of always having one end a little more well done for those who prefer their meat that way.  One of my absolute favorite things to grill.
