Title: ... first cook of the new year
Post by: inkaddictedchef1 on January 09, 2018, 04:43:25 PM
... first cook of the new year on the 78 mbh coppermist. 6.5 pound bone in shoulder destined for tacos. After 75 plus hour weeks in kitchen for the holidays it's nice to get a moment for a simple family cook.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/809c9927b7b8bf3611552513eda2f4cf.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/f4c9e0bf51a1e4521594a56126c83272.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/d9021912b75206530cffa562801e7f38.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/89928a5e13d945e3bd6a841a42b42cf2.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/2b7b35e69fe3627c63799e31353dd8a0.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/2ddb8ac323cb35a7b690ce476fdcc518.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/cb37c74e69d5648b06f93aacf84770cd.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/d0849011db0479beae6b347ccb1271ea.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/a97ec0911b6796b169deaacb76e91327.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/c853817cafd9b8033cf90993e3a148f5.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/af7a51d688ed2420d9db4db638505ab3.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/3bc3dfe16ab1ea515b6ea144bbdb1388.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/7d666735d9853fe652556837432b1f5f.jpg)

Nah... when I cook at home I get to create without judgement of upper management or guests who like to change the dish. I cook out of pure respect for ingredients and technique and love. Food is therapeutic and a voice for me. I like to say I am a cook who has the title of chef, sadly that makes me much more of a babysitter at work and a lot less of an artist.

Props on this cook. Not only did you make an excellent dish, but you did so under less than ideal circumstances. The weather here was pretty crappy today: wind and rain. Bravo!

Wow what an amazing looking cook! Thanks for the photos and sharing! I loved how you made the sauce (is that the right word? I'm not a chef haha). Pulling pork with a stand mixer? I love that idea! Which attachment did you use?

Yes salsa is technically considered to be a sauce and thanks I love fire roasted veg used this way the sauce also had a lot of fresh raw garlic, a splash of garlic red wine vinegar, a touch of sugar and some oil. Thia was shredded with the whisk attachment but the hook or paddle can be used depending on how far you want to shred.

... love my brownies. My poor tribe looks a bit lost without a CHIEF though, I must say. Someday a chief will come someday... I currently have another brownie E code bowl at a local members house who is building me out a performer for spring time as well.

I'm with you @inkaddictedchef1 I fell for the Brownies after I saw one in person.  I too hope to acquire a Chief someday.  Can't wait to see the performer build.

Thank you kindly.... leftover pork tossed with the salsa some corn and house smoked mozz rolled and drenched in enchilada sauce and more smoked mozz. Leftover dinner never looked so good. Happy grilling (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/8a9a995d725c6ec1b9a83cb23e03e007.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180110/4961b45067e41d7e7f0ad04bb3b40a5e.jpg)
