1956-57 Weber Brothers Orange and Black Speckled Custom

This stunning piece of kettle history was found in a storage unit in Minnesota and is owned by WKC member, Saxart.  This very unique color is described as “bright burnt orange” and the finish has a bumpy texture.  The lid and bowl are in incredible condition for their age, however, the legs and wheels were not recovered with the kettle.  There is speculation that this is perhaps a custom traveler, but we’ll never be sure.  With the help of other members, Saxart sourced wheels and had a triangular ash pan replicated and painted.

This amazing find is a reminder that rare kettles are still out there just waiting to be discovered!  In fact, a similar speckled custom popped up not far away in Wisconsin, but that’s another post…..  Enjoy!
